Charlotte from the MKFM News team visited the brand new award-winning nail salon in Milton Keynes shopping centre and here is her review...
As somebody who loves a fresh set of nails, I was so excited to hear that Townhouse was coming to Milton Keynes.
The brand new luxury salon is located in the amazing new H Beauty by Harrods department store at centre:mk.
Townhouse was founded in 
2018 by Juanita Huber-Millet and has since been described by Marie Claire as “Hands down the best nail salon”.
The salon is also known for its cult Celeb / VIP following including biggest selling artist in history Drake, big screen actresses, Love Island stars and of course the loyal Londoner crowd.
With a celebrity following and very good reviews, I was excited to see if it really lived up to the name it had made for itself.
Upon arrival, I instantly noticed how picturesque the salon really was, it was super instagrammable.
After a really friendly greeting at the door, I was quickly booked in and directed straight over to my seat where I met the nail stylist, Lexi.
I was then introduced to the iPad of designs and styles. The high-tech iPad had all of the colour swatches and designs you could dream of.
After having a scroll through all of the colours, I ended up asking for a recommendation as I just couldn't decide!
Lexi asked what kind of thing I liked and recommended the colour 'Coldharbour Lane' to me. Coldharbour Lane was a good mix of Purple and Blue, we both decided it gave us a Denim feel.
Throughout my time there, I felt super comfortable. All of the staff were friendly and chatty and made me feel relaxed. I also loved how the staff interacted with not only me, but the other clients at the same time, making us all feel like we were part of one big friendly conversation.
There was never an awkward silence.
The Townhouse experience was as 'luxury' as described. I was truly made to feel like a celeb! The beauty of the salon decor helped, but also the knowledge of the nail techs.
My nails were even finished off with a hand massage, topping off the experience. I felt so relaxed coming out of the salon and super happy with my nails! The recommended colour is something I definitely would have chose myself.
