Irish Jo and her family went to The Greedy Italian in Fenny Stratford for dinner and here is her full review...
For years, I have heard about this amazing restaurant in the back of Bletchley run by Antonio, who is from Italy! This little restaurant opened in 2017 and since then I have been saying I want to visit.
We arrived on a Saturday evening, after a busy day at Gulliver’s Land, so we were super hungry by then! There are not many places you go where the atmosphere, service, food and décor are as amazing as each other!
We always like some bits to share for starters so we left this in their hands to choose for us:

Spring Truffle & Parmesan Baby Arancini

Grilled Tiger Prawns, Chilli, Lemon & Garlic Dressing

Burrata Pugliese, Tomato Carpaccio & Basil Pesto

Beef Fillet Carpaccio, Rucola, Fried Capers, Parmesan & Lemon Oil
The burrata was just so soft and tasty, and the pesto flavours with the tomatoes was the best I have ever had in this country! You can really tell how fresh everything is. These were just the perfect bits for starters, and you will see from the photos the mixtures of colours, served on the most beautiful crockery!
Mains were exceptional too:

Gnocchi, Mushroom Sauce, Wild Mushrooms, Walnuts & Tarragon

Com Fed Chicken Saltimbocca, Prosciutto, Sage, Roasted Chicken Sauce, Charred Asparagus &Roasted Jersey Royals
Our daughter likes the more traditional dinners, so the chicken was just perfect for her! I was blown away with the Gnocchi, and wild mushrooms, and the Paccheri, was just beautiful with the fish, as I have only had this before with minced beef so was such a tasty new treat.
Desserts and a cocktail to finish the dining off, and we had:

Torta Della Nonna, Shorterust Pastry, Lemon Patisserie Cream & Pine Nuts
I could not recommend this restaurant enough to anyone looking for a special occasion, or if you want to really try out an authentic Italian.
The service, décor, food and atmosphere is all amazing and would give this restaurant a 10/10.
