MKFM REVIEW: Slug & Lettuce - Milton Keynes

The MKFM team were invited down to Slug & Lettuce, in The Hub central Milton Keynes to enjoy a team lunch, here is their review...

MKFM were invited to the Slug and Lettuce to trial their new cost effective £7 lunch menu which includes either a sandwich or a burger and a soft drink.

We went for a mixture of the Fish Finger Bun which comes with fries or a salad and also the Buttermilk Coated Chicken Burger. When going for lunch from work, time is never on your side and as we were promptly seated and given menus, we had our food and drinks in front of us within 15 minutes, leaving ample time to enjoy and devour our lunch and still get back to the office on time!

The flavour of the Fish Finger Bun was totally delicious and fresh with nicely battered goujons, tarter sauce, gherkins and iceberg lettuce, giving it a tasty crunch and the flavours were just right!

The team was blown away with the service and how quickly we had been attended too, whilst also enjoying the modern décor and the fact the venue is so central in The Hub.

Jamie, the general manager, also brought us out some of their very popular sharing platters from their, “Made for Sharing” menu which was a combination of nibbles and bites, served in an afternoon tea inspired tray. We had Halloumi fries, Iberico ham croquettes, chicken skewers, crispy calamari and cheesy nachos. Delivery was divine, and with a cost of 3 for £15 or 5 got £23.50, this would be the perfect option, sharing a glass of wine with friends catching up over some nibbles.

MKFM were very impressed with the food, timing, service and décor of the Slug and Lettuce Milton Keynes, and will be back again!
