Acute Ambulance & Medical Services continue as MK Lightning Official Medical Partner for the 10th Season in a row.
Acute Ambulance & Medical Services provide paramedic-led ambulance crews for all MKL home matches to ensure that significant match injuries can be handled quickly and safely. You can find these on match nights under block 2, and by block 11 and 12 where the Olympia enters the ice. For matches when there are large crowds, they also supply a trained doctor to ensure you will receive the best care when attending a match should the need arise.
Continuing like last year, AAMS will provide equipment and advice to support away games for Liam, the MKL team medic trained to FREC 4 by AAMS. AAMS will continue to provide a De-Fib in the rink, for all rink users to access, as well as training and advice throughout the season. This season AAMS has also run a First Aid course for MK Lightning coaches and staff, as well as other MK teams: Falcons and the Storm Junior Team. AAMS have had a busy and successful year. They have moved to a new, larger facility and now provide First Aid training courses too.
They routinely provide the medical cover for MK Lightning, Manchester Storm Ice Hockey, Bedford Blues rugby, England Netball, England Hockey and numerous triathlons and events (including Santa pod Raceway) throughout the year. AAMS was formed in 2006 and rapidly established itself as a provider of excellence in the fields of Ambulance Transportation and Event Cover. Working closely with local hospitals, Primary Care Trusts, and NHS Ambulance Trusts in the Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire areas, our provision of service excellence has helped us to grow steadily since our formation.
Tom Roberts from MKL had this to say “We are thrilled to welcome back Acute Ambulance & Medical Services as our Official Medical Partner. Their exceptional support for our players, staff, and fans on match nights is unparalleled. Spending even a short time with Kieren and his team makes it clear that Acute Ambulance & Medical Services is a dedicated, well-organised group playing a crucial role in our community. We eagerly anticipate another great season working together.”
Speaking about the partnership from his point of view, Acute Ambulance & Medical Services Founder and Managing Director Kieren Gibson had this to say: “We have worked with Lightning since 2016 and our relationship has evolved and grown every season. We are thrilled to be back again for the 2024-25 season and look forward to working with the entire MK lightning team both on & off the ice for this 10th Season, alongside growing relationships with fellow sponsors.”
MK Lightning’s 10th season promises to be one filled with excitement, dedication, and teamwork, and A.A.M.S. is proud to be a part of this journey.
