Man sentenced for child sex offences in Milton Keynes

Following an investigation by Thames Valley Police a man has been sentenced to over 8 years after being convicted of child sex offences.

Christian Ross, aged 31, of Netherfield Milton Keynes, was sentenced on Friday (19/4) at Amersham Crown Court to eight years’ and six months’ imprisonment.

Ross was also sentenced to a four year extended licence and was made the subject of Sexual Harm Prevention Order for life.

It was after he pleaded guilty to three counts of penetrative sexual activity with a girl and one count meeting a girl under 16 following grooming.

Ross denied three offences of making indecent images of children, but was convicted of these offences by jury following a three-day trial.

Ross groomed a girl in her teens on the internet, he then travelled to meet her on two occasions and engaged in sexual activity with her. The offences happened in 2022.

Ross was arrested on 13 December and charged the same day.

Further offences that were investigated by Northamptonshire police were also dealt with at the same hearing.

Investigating officer Detective Constable David Brandon, said: “I am satisfied that Ross has been jailed for a significant amount of time and will have conditions imposed on him for the rest of his life through a sexual harm prevention order.

“Ross is a serious risk to young people and this sentence will act as a deterrent to others who prey on the young vulnerable members of our community and to ensure that our young persons are protected.

“Thames Valley Police remains committed to investigating those who seek to carry out sexual offences against children, bringing them before the courts so that they can face justice, while supporting victims.

“There is further information on grooming and some of the signs to look out as well as how to report or get support on our advice and information pages.”
