Over 50 beauty businesses around the world have united to donate all or a portion of revenue to the UNHCR Emergency Appeal for Ukraine on Tuesday 8th March.
8th March 2022 (London, UK): On Tuesday 8th March, beauty businesses all around the world are coming together to support Ukraine.
The movement started when Townhouse launched #NailsForUkraine – pledging to donate 100% of revenue on Tuesday 8th March across all Townhouse salons to the UNHCR Emergency Appeal for Ukraine has also voiced their support. Since then, the initiative has spread rapidly through the beauty industry and has grown to become #BeautyForUkraine, with over 50 beauty businesses on board across the UK, Ireland, France, USA, Abu Dhabi, Australia, and more.
Ranging from small family-owned salons to big global suppliers like Nailberry and The Gel Bottle, these businesses are pledging whatever they can – from 10-100% of revenue or straight donations. The beauty industry is uniting for an important cause and showing the resilience of (almost exclusively female) business owners in an industry that was massively impacted by COVID. Nails can’t change the world, but together we can make a difference.
