The new MK Green Business network launches in March!

The MK Green Business network is a new business networking event focused solely on helping business owners make their company eco-friendly.

The MK Green Business has been formed to unite businesses who are either passionate about operating in a green and sustainable manner or are keen to go green and would like some support and advice on how to do so.

The event is open to businesses of all sizes. It is not-for-profit, non-salesy, and there’s no agenda other than to inspire and promote sustainability amongst the business community.

In the words of Greta Thunberg: “No more blah blah blah.” The time for talking is over. This group is all about promoting meaningful action and taking practical steps that can be implemented from day 1, to help your business reduce the impact it’s having on the environment.

Business owners will be able to take inspiration from other companies, learn from expert guest speakers, and leave each event with tangible action points.

“After COP26 last year, it became clear that sadly, governments were still not willing to take the necessary steps to help the country reduce its damaging impact on the environment. It’s too easy to say that everyone needs to do their bit and it’s down to individuals to stop harming the planet; in an era of skyrocketing bills and rising living costs, it’s just not feasible to expect everyone in the country to rush out and insulate their homes, install solar panels, and buy an EV.

Therefore, the responsibility falls on business owners to ensure their companies are operating sustainably and are not further harming the natural world around us. After all, it was businesses that caused global warming in the first place!

It’s time business leaders faced up to their responsibilities and took positive action to reduce the impacts on the environment.”
