In early July, The Engineering Quest surprisingly received an invite to the regional SME Business Awards 2023.
A surprise because this was the second year in a row they had been successful finalists. However, this year the business has gone one better and been nominated in three categories, which was super exciting.
After a tough few years of navigating their way through a global pandemic, with their sights firmly focused on protecting both their employees and their business, it felt like this invite had arrived at the perfect time, it reaffirmed their focus to continually commit to both employee development and business growth.
In 2022, The Engineering Quest leadership team attended the awards evening to simply celebrate being nominated. Incredibly, with utter astonishment, not only did they get recognised in two categories, they secured both a Silver and a Gold award.
Since then, The Engineering Quest has stayed resolute to its business philosophy and values to create “A Culture of Continuous Improvement”. Over several years, The Engineering Quest has invested time and money into developing its premises, its processes and its staff. They have championed employees through apprenticeship programmes and successfully trained and promoted employees from within. This commitment has encouraged a philosophy of continuous self-improvement within their business, and as a business, they are very proud of that achievement.
The Engineering Quest is also supporting local schools with their STEM lessons. They visit and facilitate sessions in the hope too, inspire the next generation of engineers, an outreach program into the local community that is confirmed by the directors, as such a rewarding experience. In their offices, they introduced a digital platform for all employees to share positive feedback with each other and a reward scheme that recognises people going that extra mile. The Engineering Quest directors believe in looking after their employees, because they are their business.
