Northamptonshire Police have fined four people who went on a 5am trip to McDonalds in breach of coronavirus rules.
They were travelling in a car together which was stopped by officers.
Police discovered that the four occupants were not all from the same household and therefore issued four coronavirus fines as a result.
A Northamptonshire Police officer tweeted: "People need to start understanding. We are in a National Lockdown."
"You must have a reasonable excuse to travel. You must not go and pick all your friends up. You will receive a fine if you don't wish to follow the guidance."
The police force has advised residents to ensure they are up to date on the latest coronavirus guidance at gov.uk/coronavirus.
