Irish Jo from the MKFM team took her family to see Snow White at Milton Keynes Theatre and here is how it went...
Arriving at MK Theatre for the Snow White Panto is so magical walking though 12th Street along with the sound of kids excited to get through the doors!
We were welcomed with beautiful piano playing to set the tone and a gigantic Christmas tree with the smell of Mulled Wine to get you in the festive feeling.
Talking to so many families attending, it sees to be quite the tradition to attend the Panto at Christmas. Even for my family, this has been the second year in a row!
With great excitement, we took our seats for the show to open with the very funny Aaron James, who plays “Muddles” and his sidekick “Oddjob” played by Paul Chuckle. Both their own chemistry and the chemistry created within the audience, had us all laughing uncontrollably for the night! So many innuendos to keep the adults in stitches too unbeknownst to the children! Funny situation with a cucumber comes to mind!
We already knew how funny Paul Chuckle was from his time on TV as part of the much-loved Chuckle Brothers but his presentation on stage and his humour is brilliant, he made everyone laugh the whole way through.
Comedy actress Lesley Joseph starred as the villain, and her witty comments and wickedness was top notch. I think the kids actually believed she was a wicked queen!
I am a huge Rob Rinder fan so I was so excited to see him live on stage and he was truly born for the role he played. Starring as the Man in the Mirror, he played the role so brilliantly and had everybody laughing the entire time too, I couldn’t believe how great of an actor he really is!
My favourite person had to be Muddles, he was so funny and really made the pantomime what it was and I can’t forget about Charlotte Haines as Snow White, she was casted perfectly and I can imagine some kids would really believe she was Snow White.
The show was executed perfectly and was such a great family experience, it kept my family engaged for the entire duration and our imagination going wild.
I love the panto and it is definitely something I want to make a family tradition, especially after this amazing show.
