Jodie from the MKFM team was invited to Our Place at The Hub to try their brand new menu. Here is her full review...
Our Place, also known as 'The Home of Flavours', officially opened in The Hub in September 2022.
Joining a list of big names at the popular dining destination hub in Milton Keynes, The Hub offers 'the ultimate dining experience in Milton Keynes', with wings, burgers, pizza, 'great beer' and shakes all on the menu line-up.
The restaurant has just announced an upgrade to its menu which now includes more vegan and gluten-free options, and having a gluten intolerance myself, I was so excited to try.
I have visited Our Place quite a bit myself, as I love the vibe and the look. They also provide a great social space for people who just want to catch up and chill or even watch some live sports in a snazzy central Milton Keynes location.
I arrived with my mum, we were seated and looked after by a lovely waitress who was always making sure we were happy throughout our time there. 
I feel that Our Place always offers a nice and chilled environment, so we settled down easily and made our order. My mum ordered a latte which she said was so sweet and creamy, I had some lemonade as I was really needing a sugar boost after a busy day!
I ordered the gluten-free sticky chicken, which consists of free-range chargrilled chicken breast, tossed in a homemade sweet chilli sauce, including mixed salad and Cajun fries.
My mum ordered the fish cake - this dish is made up of two haddock and smoked salmon fishcakes on a bed of rocket, served with a sweet chilli dip and fries.
The sticky chicken was cooked perfectly and I really enjoyed the combination of the sweet chilli and mixed salad, this gave it all an explosion of flavour with each bite. I love the light sweet and spicy kick you get from sweet chilli, added with chicken is just amazing.
The chips at Our Place are delicious, soft, golden brown, and beautifully crispy on the edges. I ate every single one - of course!
My mum let me try some of the fishcakes which were also gluten-free. I was so happy about that, because they looked and smelt too good for me to not have at least a couple of bites...
The batter was delicious, but then it gets even better when you cut it open, and the creamy salmon oozes out, it tasted just as good as it looked.
My mum hasn't been out for a meal in a while so this was very exciting for her, she had such a wonderful time, and really enjoyed her meal!
Despite eating at Our Place before and always leaving happy - I have to say, their new menu is fantastic and I highly recommend it.
