MKFM REVIEW: Brewhouse & Kitchen at 12th Street Milton Keynes

Irish Jo and her family were invited to Brewhouse & Kitchen, in the heart of 12th Street, to try its brand new menu.

Easter weekend and the sunshine is sitting right on the entrance to Brewhouse & Kitchen, with loads of beaming customers enjoying their beers in the sun.

If you haven’t been inside Brewhouse before, the rustic design along with their main feature, “The Upside Down Brewery” makes great viewing and gives you loads to talk about.

The new menu is right up my partner Miguel’s street, so thought no one better than himself to try it out for me, and my daughter Laila tried the kids menu.

We ordered Starters and Mains and asked for it come out whenever it was ready.

Our Starters, we went for Halloumi fries and 10 buttermilk chicken wings – the spicy buffalo version, and wow did they not disappoint. The wings came with spring onion and crumbled blue cheese and the flavours, were melt in your mouth.

My partner ordered the Brewer’s Pork Carnitas Burger and I went for the Buttermilk chicken Burger. As you can see from the pictures, they were a decent size with fresh lettuce & tomatoes! Honestly, one of the best chicken burgers I have ever eaten, and the fact my partner Miguel didn’t speak to me whilst eating his confirmed his satisfaction too!

Bringing your children for a meal, can be tricky sometimes, but they have the best kids menu and Laila went for the Mac and Cheese which she polished!

The crayons and colouring activities the lovely staff provided her with kept her going too!

Our waiter on top of all this suggested we try the loaded chips – and well, I will let the picture speak for itself. Matched with shredded chicken, this would nearly be a meal on its own!

The sun was shining, so we finished with a gorgeous cheesecake in the sun, with coffees!

So impressed with the new menu, and I could not fault the staff! We will definitely be back for lunch!
