Meet and greet with horses from the police mounted section in Milton Keynes with MKM Building Supplies

A local business is inviting residents to meet and greet police horses this month.

On Friday 27th October, MKM Building Supplies, MK13 8LD,  will be offering people the chance to get close to some horses from the police mounted section.

The event will take place between 10am and 1pm.

Residents can enjoy a meet and greet with the horses and riders, learn about the horses and speak about riding and road safety.

Also attending will be the British Horse Society to help spread awareness of horses on the roads – riding and road safety.

There will also be the chance to meet the MKM team, grab a hot drink and join the raffle, with prizes contributed from Smeg, CDA, Symphony, RB Equestrian and lots more.

Attendees can also meet and speak to some of MKM's supplier representatives and take advantage of offers on the day

The chosen charity for this event is Veterans Aid. For 90 years, Veterans Aid has been battling homelessness among the ex-service community.

All Veterans Aid’s activities revolve around helping ex-servicemen and women in crisis.

The Charity has played a significant part nationally in the reduction and eradication of homelessness among veterans. It intervenes immediately, practically and at three stages: before crisis (preventing), during (addressing) and after (sustaining).

Because homelessness is both a cause and an effect, Veterans Aid’s activities are diverse. Its objective is always to enable sustainable, independent living, but the interventions necessary to achieve this can involve days, weeks, months – or even years of investment.
