McDonalds have issued an update after signs warning about supply chain issues following Brexit were spotted in some restaurants.
Customers across the UK took to social media after seeing the yellow signs placed around McDonalds restaurants and Drive Thru locations this week.
The signs read: "Due to supply challenges following Brexit, some of our menu may be unavailable or have ingredients missing - eg. lettuce, tomato."
"Please ask a member of staff for further details."
Some customers questioned whether the signs were real or not, but McDonalds have since confirmed they are official signage.
However, they have told some national newspapers the signs were not supposed to be displayed and were printed only as a precautionary measure.
The company is not anticipating any supply chain issues following the post-Brexit trade deal which was revealed on Christmas Eve.
Most of the signs have since been removed from UK branches of McDonalds.
