To celebrate 10 years of supporting bereaved children in Milton Keynes, Harry's Rainbow are organising some great events and challenges for everyone to take part in for 2022!
Harry’s Rainbow are a Milton Keynes based children’s charity who support children who have been bereaved of a parent or sibling.
Milton Keynes Marathon Weekend - Sunday 1st & Monday 2nd May
There are free spaces available in the Full and Half marathon, Turing 10K and Rocket 5K.
Minimum Sponsorship:
5K - £150
10K - £200
Half marathon - £300
Full marathon - £400
Jessica's Rainbow Colour Run - Saturday 18th June
This is a great fun run for children of all ages taking place at the large Wolverton recreation ground on Woburn Avenue. Originally set up by Harrys twin sister Jessica as a memorial day to mark Harry's Anniversary, it is now in it's 10th year and has become very popular with children and families of all abilities.
Children and young people can run/walk/hop/skip/jump the course and there is a choice of 1/2 mile or a mile and this year the local charity are bringing it to you as a colour run (although there will be a non colour option).
For just £6 per child, every finisher will receive an awesome medal. This year they would also like to encourage the children to fundraise, with all those raising over £100 getting a goody bag and the highest fundraiser will win a Smyths gift voucher!!
Not only is there the fun run but there will also be games, rides, stalls and refreshments so it's a not to be missed family day out!!
London to Brighton Bike Ride - Sunday 11th September
Have you ever fancied taking part in the epic London to Brighton bike ride? Cycling 55 miles from Clapham Common through the countryside to finish along the seaside in Brighton. Harry's Rainbow have free spaces available for this awesome event on Sunday 11st September 2022 - the space includes:
- Free entry to the race (usually costs £55)
- Travel to London and home again from Brighton,
- A wonderful buffet lunch along the way
- A finishers t-shirt and a medal
A minimum of £250 sponsorship money for Harry's Rainbow is required.
Northampton Lift Tower Abseil
Dare you go over the top and abseil the 418ft Northampton Lift Tower to raise funds for Harry’s Rainbow? Come and take part in this nail-biting challenge and support the local charity while you take on a massive challenge. All they ask is that you raise a minimum of £200 and the team will book you a convenient date to complete the abseil. Why not get a team together and make a day of it?
