Greggs are launching VEGAN Sausage Rolls - these are the Milton Keynes stores offering them

If you're planning to take part in 'Veganuary' for 2019, then Greggs have just launched the perfect offering.

The new vegan sausage roll goes on sale tomorrow and is made using Quorn instead of sausage meat and pastry made from vegetable oil.

Created following a campaign by animal rights group PETA, you'll be able to pick one up at selected Greggs outlets for £1.

But not all the stores will be stocking the new vegan treats.

Both Milton Keynes outlets in The Centre MK and at the Railway Station will be taking part in the new product launch.

You'll also be able to pick one up from Greggs at The Beacon Retail Park in Bletchley (opposite Tesco) or on Queensway.

Roger Whiteside, chief executive at Greggs, told the Manchester Evening News: "Like many food retailers we have seen increasing demand for vegetarian and vegan products. We have been trying to develop a vegan version of our famous sausage roll for some time now."

"It has not been easy but our taste panel customers all love this one, so we have decided to launch it as our contribution to Veganuary."

Veganuary is where people across the UK are encouraged to become a vegan for the month of January.
