Facebook have issued an update after users worldwide reported being logged out of their accounts.
Platform users took to sites such as Twitter to report their devices had automatically logged them out of their account and they had to re-enter their password.
Thousands of reports were also logged with online down detection websites about the issue.
And social media platform Facebook have now issued an update about the problem.
In a tweet, the platform said: "We’re looking into reports of people being logged out and having to login again to access their Facebook accounts."
"We’re working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience."
Anyone who has been logged out of their account can re-access it by logging in again using their email and password.
