Budding theme park managers join Gulliver's Land in Milton Keynes

A pair of budding theme park managers have joined the team at Gulliver’s Land in Milton Keynes, as part of the theme park company’s renowned trainee management programme.

Logan Blair, 23, from Matlock, and Lamara Chappelle, 25, from Northampton, have both joined Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts’ year-long bespoke training scheme, which is now in its seventh year.

The programme will see Logan and Lamara start their training at Gulliver’s Land, before moving on to experience different areas of the business at Gulliver’s other UK sites in Matlock Bath, Warrington and Rotherham.

The pair – part of a group of nine trainees appointed at Gulliver’s resorts across the country - will take on their own bespoke projects, receive mentoring from a senior member of Gulliver's staff and have access to external development coaches and experts, before stepping into new management roles at the end of the 12-month term.

Lamara, who graduated with a degree in International Tourism Management in 2018 and has since worked in seasonal roles in the USA, Australia and UK, said: “Theme parks are something I am passionate about. I grew up visiting attractions across the country and have many fond memories that will last a lifetime. I’m looking forward to my passion becoming my career with Gulliver’s.”

Logan, who has worked at Gulliver’s since 2016, added: “I’m really looking forward to learning aspects of the parks that I haven’t had the chance to work on so far. At Gulliver’s we don’t just cater to families – our work teams are like family, too.”

Sue Conway, resort manager at Gulliver’s Land, said: “We’re excited to be welcoming Logan and Lamara as part of our latest group of trainee managers.

“Gulliver’s training programme allows us to give our trainees a great, hands-on introduction to how we create magical experiences for our guests, and Logan and Lamara will be experiencing all sides of the business as they make their way across Gulliver’s parks throughout the UK.”

Eight trainee managers recently graduated from the programme, stepping into leadership roles across Gulliver’s Theme Park Resorts.
