Baby cereal is recalled because the product may contain pieces of plastic

Earlier this week it was announced that a supermarket-bought baby cereal is being recalled because it may contain small pieces of blue plastic.

Aptamil Multigrain Banana and Berry Cereal 7+ months is being recalled by manufacturer Nutricia.

The 200g packs with the best before date of 7 July 2021 have been affected.

Nutricia says that the blue plastic is clearly visible in contrast to the cereal. And if you have fed your baby from one of the packs without noticing any pieces, then it is unlikely that your pack was affected.

Those who have purchased one of the affected packs can return it to the store it was bought from, with or without a receipt, for a full refund.
