The MKFM team visited Middletons Steakhouse & Grill in Central Milton Keynes to celebrate Darren's birthday with a steak lunch, here is the full review...
The MKFM team had a fantastic time celebrating Darren's "29th" birthday (again) at Middletons Steakhouse & Grill, located on Midsummer Boulevard in the centre of Milton Keynes,.
Middletons offers a contemporary, relaxed, and stylish setting to enjoy a delicious mix of prime cuts of meat, grills, burgers, fresh fish and delicious desserts with outstanding service - shout out to Sebastian for looking after us during our visit!
Small Plates, big flavours
We love nothing better than getting some food on the table and everybody digging in and sharing the flavours and experience - and these small plate starters were an absolute triumph! The perfect size to wet the appetite and packed full of flavour, spices and seasoning. These are smaller portions than the starters, but are great for mixing, pairing and sharing - check out our photo gallery for their beautiful presentation too. They really set the perfect tone for our celebratory meal out!
We enjoyed:
- King scallops baked in blue cheese sauce, parmesan & bacon crumb, apple & watercress salad, crostini
- Sticky BBQ, Spicy Korean, and Sichuan Bang Bang ribs - our personal faves!

- Chinese spiced pork belly in hoisin, cucumber, pickled carrot & leek
- Lamb kofte, tzatziki, pickled red onion, pistachio, lemon
- Braised beef & bechamel croquettes with smoked mayonnaise
- Calamari with garlic mayonnaise & lemon
- Sun-dried tomato & mozzarella arancini, aioli, pesto dressing, parmesan & basil
- Kids garlic bread and vegetable crudites with marie rose sauce
Mains
Well it would have been rude not to sample some of the juicy and delicious steaks on offer at Middletons STEAKhouse wouldn't it? There's a great selection of sized steaks to suit every appetite with upgrades to Surf and Turf, sensational sauces, and sides. All steaks come with a choice of 1 side, tomato and mushroom.
The birthday boy opted for the 18oz T-bone with fries and peppercorn sauce. The rest of the team enjoyed a 16oz Sirloin steak upgraded to Surf & Turf with 2 oven roasted jumbo prawns served with sweet potato fries, creamy spinach side and blue cheese sauce, as well as the Kids Middletons Burger. And can we take a moment to appreciate The Middleton Burger for the adults?! Succulent chicken fillet, tender BBQ pulled pork, and smoky bacon served in a pretzel bun with two 4oz patties, American cheese, lettuce, burger sauce, crispy onions and pickles - it was bigger than Charlotte's head! All of the meat from the grill was cooked and seasoned to perfection and arrived piping hot.
Dessert
After all of that sensational food, it's safe to say that the MKFM team were finally stuffed and couldn't even squeeze in dessert. But if you have a sweet tooth and fancy a pud to finish off your meal at Middletons, there is everything you could want from sticky toffee pudding, to sundaes and sorbets.
