Food ordering app that supports independent businesses will launch in Milton Keynes later on this month

A new, localised food ordering app called MK Eats will be launching in Milton Keynes later this month.

MK Eats is owned and operated by people from Milton Keynes and aims to showcase the variety of local independent food businesses that the city has to offer.

Over forty restaurants and takeaways have signed up to MK Eats already, ranging from established award-winning restaurants to smaller family-run businesses that have never listed on an app before.

Posh Burgers n Pies, Peel Juice Bar, Kuku Coffee House, The Concrete Cow Brewery and Anatolia Turkish Meze & Grill are among those that will be on the app when it launches.

MK Eats has been co-founded by two local men, Andy Roberts and James Cann. They said: “Our commission rates are much lower than those set by the national food ordering companies, which gives a fairer deal to the businesses that list with us and also allows them to pass on some of those savings to our customers in the form of exclusive discounts."

People in Milton Keynes will be able to download the MK Eats app (IOS & Android) later this month.

You can keep up to date with information about the launch on the MK Eats Facebook and Instagram pages.
