Based at Stadium MK, MKFM has positions for a Full Time Journalist and Social Media presenter.
As Milton Keynes truly local radio we have seen tremendous growth in our listeners and digital media platforms throughout the pandemic.
With an average of 300,000 people getting their local information from MKFM each month, we are now looking at expanding our team with the following roles.
Journalist – Full Time
Working within a small team, you will be responsible for ensuring that Milton Keynes is kept up to date with the latest breaking news stories and issues that affect our community.
Based at Stadium MK this position requires someone who is flexible, has good knowledge of the community we serve and has a passion for everything Milton Keynes.

- A journalism qualification
- Confidence in using windows based programs to write, edit and upload content
- Clean full driving licence
- Good understanding of social media platforms
- Passion for our community in Milton Keynes
- Have excellent personal presentation and verbal communication skills
Social Media Presenter
MKFM has a built one of the largest social media followings in Milton Keynes, each month more people engage with us on local issues than anyone else.
We are looking for someone who can present videos and write editorial content centred around our community, local business, food and entertainment.
To apply you need:
- Experience being on camera whilst delivering key messages
- Experience in writing content at a professional level
- Confidence in using windows based programs to write, edit and upload content
- Clean full driving licence
- Good understanding of social media platforms
- Passion for our community in Milton Keynes
- Have excellent personal presentation and verbal communication skills
