Milton Keynes Dons boss Russell Martin has spoken of his and his players' determination to improve results ahead of today's match against Gillingham.

The Dons currently sit bottom of League One with just two draws from their opening five matches - despite dominating the majority of teams they have encountered, particularly in possession and shots on goal.

Despite Martin's side's strong showings, they have struggled to find the back of the net with just four goals.

Speaking to MKFM yesterday, Martin spoke of his confidence that things will improve and highlighted that he and his players want to turn things around quickly.

He explained: "If you'd watched us last week and the week before if you're a neutral and someone tells you after the game that one of the teams is bottom of the league, I don't think you're looking at us in either game."

"The guys want to make it right as quickly as possible, and so do I, and in terms of what we do and how we work, the culture's unbelievable."

"Everyone believes in what we're doing and that's why it will come good. That's why I'm completely confident and the performances have shown that."

He added: "We need to tidy up on a few things and when we do, results will follow."
