Milton Keynes Dons will be without Regan Poole and Daniel Harvie when they take on Coventry City in the Carabao Cup next month, due to international call-ups.

Last week, Harvie, who joined the Dons this summer from Scottish Championship side Ayr United, was named to the Scotland Under-21s squad that is set to take on Lithuania in a UEFA Under-21s qualifying fixture on 8th September.

Now, Poole, entering his second season with the club, has been named to the Wales Under-21s squad for their UEFA Under-21s qualifier against Bosnia & Herzegovina on 4th September.

Both young defenders are expected to play key roles for the Dons during what is expected to be a cramped League One campaign, due to the later start to the season, with hopes that they can cement their positions on the starting line-up.

Poole joined the Dons from Manchester United last summer, making 25 appearances in all competitions before the season was cut short due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

Due to the dates of their international fixtures, neither player will be available for the September 5th match against reigning League One champions, Coventry, but Harvie will also miss the team's EFL Trophy tie with local rivals Northampton Town, which is due to be held on the same day as Scotland Under-21s' game against Lithuania.
