MK Dons updates Season Ticket holders as matches continue behind closed doors

MK Dons has provided an update to Season Ticket holders following the news that the club has suspended payments for the month of October.

Further to the club statement in late September regarding season tickets, we wanted to let all our Season Ticket holders know that we are still very much in discussions with third parties regarding a number of options to protect the value of a Season Ticket whilst matches are played behind closed doors.

The Government decision on 22 September to suspend the return of crowds to stadiums from 1 October has been a real game-changer for all Football Clubs, leading to much financial uncertainty. However, we continue to feel strongly, just as we did when lockdown commenced in March, that our loyal and committed Season Ticket holders, should not lose out through no fault of their own. This was why we took the decision to suspend direct debit Season Ticket payments for the month of October, providing everyone with time and a little more certainty on what could be offered to our Season Ticket holders.

The Club over the last week has put forward a proposal for discussion amongst the relevant authorities and their partners which still remains under consideration and one that is also being discussed amongst the rest of League 1. We hope to have a decision on the feasibility of our proposal within the next few days and once that has been resolved one way or the other, we will then be in a position to offer off all season ticket holders with alternative solutions for the period whilst games are played behind closed doors. For the time being all season ticket holders will continue to receive a free iFollow stream to watch all our home league fixtures.

Alongside this, we are committed to maintaining a meaningful connection between our Season Ticket holders and are working on a number of exciting initiatives to keep everyone involved with the players, management, and the whole Club.

In the meantime, we very much appreciate the support and encouragement we continue to receive from everyone. The spirit of togetherness is certainly shining through during these troubled, challenging, and uncertain times and gives us much to look forward to. Thank you for continuing to be such a big part of the MK Dons team.
