Milton Keynes Dons have today announced the loan signing of Daniel Oyegoke from Brentford.
The 19-year-old defender, who predominantly plays at full back, becomes the Dons' 13th signing this summer.
With plenty of experience at youth level, having played for both Barnet and Arsenal before joining Brentford, Oyegoke moves to Stadium MK for his first stint at first-team football.
Oyegoke is a bright young talent, who already has some solid international pedigree after helping guide England to the Under-19s European Championships this year.
Speaking after signing, Oyegoke commented: "I’m very happy to be here and hopefully I can help the team have a very good season."
"The brand of football attracted me to come here as well as the manager and the way he works – it was something I was eager to be a part of."
"I’m buzzing for the opportunity to play league football and hopefully I can show everybody what I’m about while helping the team achieve its goals."
Sporting Director Liam Sweeting said: "Dan is a player we have spoken about a lot this off-season and Liam and I were impressed when we had the opportunity to speak with him about a potential move to MK Dons."
"He has a great physical profile and a number of technical qualities which have resulted in some high-quality moments for Brentford and with England."
"We are grateful to Brentford for allowing our coaching staff the opportunity to work with Daniel and I look forward to seeing the progress he can make over the course of the season."
Head Coach Liam Manning added: "We are pleased to have Daniel on board for the upcoming season. While this is his first season in league football, he is a player with great potential and we are looking forward to this opportunity to work with him."
