Milton Keynes Dons head coach Liam Manning has said that substituting defender Peter Kioso was a precaution.

The right wing back took a few knocks during the Dons' 4-1 victory over Cambridge United on Saturday (13th November) and needed to be taken off in the 81st minute, but it appears as if things are not as bad as they initially appeared.

Speaking in his post-match press conference, Manning commented: "He's okay to be fair, he's a tough kid."

He added: "It was nothing major, it was more just a case of precaution and let's look after him.

The former Dons youth product has been a key player for the team since returning on loan from Championship club Luton Town on the summer transfer deadline day, regularly featuring in the starting line-up.

In ten League One appearances so far for Manning's side, Kioso has contributed three goals and a further three assists from a wide position, so the news that he is okay will be a big relief to fans of the club.
