Milton Keynes Dons have today announced that striker Kieran Agard has signed up for another season with the club.
The 29-year-old, who was out of contract this summer, was the Dons' top goalscorer in League Two and returns for a fourth consecutive season at Stadium MK.
Agard, who scored 22 goals in the Dons' automatic promotion campaign last season, was the club's record transfer signing - joining for an undisclosed free from Bristol City ahead of the 2016/17 season.
Capable of playing both centrally and out on the winger, Agard is the club's all-time third-highest goalscorer and has topped the goalscoring charts for the club in two out of his three seasons at MK1.
Last year he picked up the Players' Player of the Year Award as well as the team's Top Goalscorer Award, forming a strong tandem with Chuks Aneke to help guide the club back into the third tier at the first time of asking.
Speaking to iFollow MK Dons, Agard said: "At the end of the season, I went home and had a rest and spoke to my family."
“In the end, we couldn’t wait to get back here. As a Club, we’re moving in the right direction which was evident last season."
He added: "It’s something I want to be a part of. I thoroughly enjoyed last season and I want to have more times like that here - I’m looking to build on last season."
He concluded: “I’m thankful to the fans that have supported me. Hopefully I can give them some more to sing about."
