Bin collections will be running one day behind schedule this week as yesterday's icy conditions left crews unable to complete their rounds.
Sunday's heavy snowfall subsequently resulted in Milton Keynes Council having to suspend its waste and recycling collections due to icy conditions on Monday.
Refuse crews were unable to safely get their lorries across the road network which has pushed collections back by a day.
The Council said that providing the conditions improve overnight, crews will be out today catching up on yesterday's missed collections.
As of 9:20am, there has been no further correspondence from the Council which suggests crews will be out collecting rubbish today.
Residents whose waste was due to be collected yesterday will have it collected today, and Friday’s collections will be collected on Saturday 30 January.
Crews will only be collecting black rubbish sacks, clear recycling sacks, and glass waste. Food and garden waste has been suspended due to reduced staff numbers cased by COVID-19.
If the situation changes, and collection is delayed once more, MKFM will publish an article with further information.
