The Government announced a £16.5m youth support fund in November, aimed at youth organisations affected by the pandemic.
During the outbreak of coronavirus, many grassroots youth clubs, uniformed youth groups, and national youth and umbrella organisations have been affected by a loss of income during the winter period.
For many youngsters, these organisations have provided a vital service or support into their lives, but many are facing the struggle of remaining open.
Applications for the Youth Covid-19 Support Fund are now live and open for youth organisations to apply, with grants being awarded on a rolling basis to ensure those in need and eligible are not kept waiting.
Iain Stewart, the MP for Milton Keynes South, commented:
“It is another way this Conservative Government is looking after everyone whilst we fight coronavirus, and I urge any youth organisation that is eligible to apply.”
Ben Everitt, the MP for Milton Keynes North, added:
“That’s why this Government fund is brilliant news and I’d strongly encourage youth organisations in Milton Keynes to apply for the scheme.”
The closing date for applications is on the 12th February 2021, and interested youth organisations can apply here.
