A power cut in the MK6 2 and MK9 3 postcodes has left 322 properties in the City Centre of Milton Keynes without power, with Xscape being forced to evacuate cinema customers and restaurant customers left 'eating in the dark'.
The power cut was reported at 9.26pm and the cause of the loss is not yet known.
It has left the full Xscape building in darkness, with establishments throughout the centre being left without power.
Local resident Antoni Fruncillo tweeted: "Well, this has been an eventful trip to the cinema. Power has completely gone out at Xscape MK so had to leave half way through ‘I, Tonya’ and exit the building completely. People are eating their food in the dark in Nando’s!"
It is not believed that any other areas of Milton Keynes are currently affected.
Power is expected to be restored to the affected area by 11pm, according to Western Power Distribution.
