Sources close to MKFM say that the WonderWorld nightclub at Xscape has permanently closed to be replaced by an indoor leisure facility.
Photobomb, the company who provided photography services to Wonderworld, told their Facebook fans last night ''Breaking News - WonderWorld has closed down!"
They later added ''We have been inundated with notifications since this status went up last night and, whilst nothing has been officially announced by WW, we were made aware last night that the venue was closed Friday and again last night, that the door posters and signage had been removed and that equipment from the venue was being removed. Whilst the closure is unconfirmed, it is looking very much like it has closed for good. WonderWorld is/was MKs largest club and, if it really has closed for good, Milton Keynes has lost a major player in the nightlife industry."
Sources close to MKFM have told us that the premises at Xscape Milton Keynes are to become an indoor leisure facility. All events for this month have been removed from the WonderWorld website.

History: Oceana closes in a similar way
The previous use of the building, an Oceana nightclub, had its closure announced in a similar way.
Staff and promoters at Oceana in the Xscape building were informed the club would no longer open and all future events were removed from the venue’s website.
Oceana opened in 2002 and had since pulled in thousands of people each week.
