Saf’s Kitchen
As a resident of Wolverton, Safia Ali loves the community and is always looking to lend a helping hand in any way that she can. Friends and family would always comment on Safia’s food as delicious and exquisite, but she just considered herself as a mother and a wife! However, Safia is now the proud owner and founder of her very own home business, Saf’s Kitchen (SK).
Growing and developing by the day, SK has come so far and this is just the start of an exciting journey! Combining fresh, local ingredients with aromatic home spices and natural skills mixed with a lot of love, SK produces mouth-watering homemade Indian dishes, suitable for any dietary requirements. Many customers describe her food as ‘the best’ as Safia continues to wow everyone with new dishes, adding twists from various cuisines.
As a small start-up business from home, it is incredibly difficult to gain enough publicity to keep the business going, although SK has managed to reach almost 4,000 likes on her Facebook page! As well as social media and word of mouth, SK have gained lots of exposure through catering for various events such as Holi Festival MK and The Big Lunch Extra hosted by The Eden Project. Events aren’t the only thing Safia caters for, she has organised and run an exclusive pop-up restaurant which was a huge success and has led to another pop-up this year! SK also supplies party bookings, special occasions, weddings and many more.
Through the challenges, struggles and huge successes, Saf’s Kitchen has proudly achieved the “Streetfood Vendor of the Year 2017” award and continues to thrive with so much potential for the future.
Be sure to order from SK’s famous Friday Curry Night. Check out her Facebook page
