Willen Hospice has opened a brand new music shop at The Point in Central Music Keynes.
Local charity Willen Hospice has announced the opening of its brand new dedicated music shop at The Point in Milton Keynes.
In July, the charity opened a new clothing, accessories, and furniture shop in the former bingo hall downstairs at The Point. Now, thanks to the landlords, further premises have been gifted, for the music shop which has its own separate entrance on the ground floor.
A spokesperson for Willen Hospice said: "We’ve always received a steady stream of donated music in our shops that’s in excellent condition, and always popular with our customers and now has a home if it’s own!
"Off The Record delivers an all-round experience for the music-lovers amongst us. We have specialist vinyl, DVDs and CDs, instruments and memorabilia on offer.
"Bryan, who works in our maintenance department has done an amazing job of refurbishing leftover furniture in the space, into tailormade record bins. He even installed a partition wall to provide a separate office space for our online retail team and a collection point for our eBay customers. The team will move in shortly from our Grafton Gate shop.
"Thanks to some fabulous volunteers from local businesses we’ve been able to use donated paint and the end result is- well your just have to come and see for yourself!"
Volunteer and music fan, Graham (on the right with Manager Kevin), has spent many days categorising, testing, merchandising and curating a collection of classics from your kind donations. Graham has been volunteering in the Grafton Gate store since May and was keen to put his passion for music to good use.
The shop will also stock the best of pre-loved music, band T-shirts, new and used collectables from film and TV, record players, guitars and any instruments that are gifted to us.
Shoppers will also have the opportunity to try before you buy and listen to your finds in store.
