Whipsnade Zoo re-opens following Tier 4 rule change

Whipsnade Zoo has re-opened after the government changed Tier 4 rules on outdoor zoo and safari park opening.

In a statement, the Zoo said: "Following updated government Tier 4 guidance, we are able to safely open London Zoo and Whipsnade Zoo from 31 December."

"Whipsnade Zoo and London Zoo are currently under Tier 4 which will mean some small changes to your visit. We really hope you have a wonderful time and that you can support us by booking a ticket.Good to Go logo."

"We are delighted to be welcoming visitors through the gates of our zoos, offering everyone the chance to get outside, enjoy the fresh air and reconnect with animals and nature."

"We have plenty of guidance for visitors including advice on how to get to our zoos safely."

"We are working hard to keep everyone safe and healthy, but we all need to work together to respect the guidance in place and protect ourselves and others."

"We have a range of safety measures in place, and we ask visitors to join us in ensuring the zoos remain a great, safe day out for families."

It comes as nearby Woburn Safari Park also re-opened last week following the rule changes.
