Milton Keynes Virgin Media customers might be experiencing an outage as users report problems with internet access across the UK.
UPDATE: Services have now been restored.
A Virgin Media spokesperson said: “We’ve restored broadband services for customers but are closely monitoring the situation as our engineers continue to investigate. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Virgin Media customers have been reporting problems with their internet access since around 1am this morning (Tuesday 4 April).
The company received over 28,500 reports of outages at 8am, according to Downdetector.
The company says that teams are currently working to identify and fix the problem, but has not indicated what the issue might be.
Virgin Media contact centres are also said to be affected.
In a statement on social media at 8:20am, the company said: 'We’re aware of an issue that is affecting broadband services for Virgin Media customers as well as our contact centres.
'Our teams are currently working to identify and fix the problem as quickly as possible and we apologise to those customers affected.'

Cities are currently the most affected by the outage, Downdetector reports, but the issue is widespread.
Around 1,4000 issues were reported before 7am.
