VIDEO: Flooding hits roads in Milton Keynes as yellow weather warning in force across the area

Flooding has hit a number of roads across Milton Keynes after a yellow weather warning was issued by the Met Office for today.

Traffic had to pass carefully in Olney this afternoon on Aspreys, Driftway and Yardley Road with flooding covering a roundabout and local road.

On Driftway, traffic was restricted to one side of the road with many drivers choosing instead to turn around and seek an alternative route.

Meanwhile, Milton Keynes Council have closed Little Linford Lane near Newport Pagnell due to the flooding.

Reports of flooding have also come in from Wolverton Road in Newport Pagnell, the A508 between Roade and Deanshanger, as well as Harrold Road and Northampton Road in Lavendon.

A yellow weather warning is in force until 2am tonight with the Met Office telling residents to expect heavy rainfall leading to 'flooding and disruption to travel'.
