MKFM understands vehicles are now being towed.

    UPDATE 5:30PM -

Around 30 caravans moved to Oakgrove School over the weekend, leaving students working from home today (11/7).

MKFM now understands that the travellers are currently being moved on from the site.

It comes as head teacher Ian Tett emailed parents and guardians earlier this afternoon stating that the school will remain closed tomorrow.

The email said: 'We have been working closely with Thames Valley Police and other authorities throughout the day, but unfortunately the travellers are still occupying our school fields.

'As a result, our secondary site is unable to open on Tuesday 12th July. Work will continue to be set by teachers via Google Classroom for students to complete.'

The school's sports day, which was set to take place tomorrow, has now been postponed too.

'Sports Day will be postponed; we are very mindful that students have not had a Sports Day for two years and so we are trying to reschedule it,' the email read 'Once we have access to the site we will be able to assess which areas have been affected and whether students and staff will be able to access the site on Wednesday. Our primary school will remain open. Thank you for your continued support and patience.'
