Two people from village near Milton Keynes win £50,000 each on the People's Postcode Lottery

Two people from Marston Moretaine, just down the road from Milton Keynes, have started 2021 on a high by winning £50,000 each.

Their postcode, MK43 0WX, was announced as a winner with the People's Postcode Lottery on Tuesday (5/1).

The winners found out how much they had won over a video call with People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson.

One of the winners, 67-year-old Linda Bowditch, gasped when her cheque for £50K was revealed. She said: “Oh my God, that’s amazing! I don’t believe it.”

When asked if she had any plans to treat herself with her winnings, the care home worker was quick to say: “I’m going to get a hot tub in my garden to start with.”

She also thought a holiday could be on the cards: “It would be really great to get away somewhere nice. Somewhere that’s warm, lots of sun! When we can!”

The mother-of-four added that she would help out her children and treat her grandchildren too.

The other winner chose to remain anonymous but their prize will be paid into their bank account.
