A major accident closed the A5 in both directions earlier this evening at the junction of Potterspury High Street, just north of the Old Stratford Roundabout.
Emergency services were on the scene and an air ambulance is believed to have attended.
The road has now re-opened and traffic has returned to normal on the route.
