TRAVEL: Delays on M1 Northbound near Milton Keynes following reports of an accident

There have been delays on the M1 near Milton Keynes this morning (9/8) following reports of an accident.

(UPDATE - 10:56 am - traffic has now cleared)

The AA states that traffic has been affected on the M1 between Toddington Services and Newport Pagnell Services since approximately 8:30 am.

This follows reports that there had been an accident involving a lorry and a car between Junction 13 and Junction 14.

Following the incident, congestion has continued resulting in lengthy traffic jams on the northbound carriageway (as of 10 am).

Drivers are being advised to avoid the M1 between Junctions 13 and 14 to allow the traffic to clear.
