Town council in Milton Keynes reveal community speed watch data

    Milton Keynes’ Newport Pagnell Town Council has shared data collected from their Community Speed Watch volunteers, who began collecting the data in February 2024.

    Earlier today (July 17), Newport Pagnell Town Council released figures from data collected from their Community Speed Watch volunteers. The data was collected over a course of eight sessions, totalling nine hours on the roadside.

    The number of vehicles recorded that exceeded the speed totalled to 42.

    The maximum speed reached by a driver was 52mph, driving 22mph over the speed limit.

    The recorded average miles per hour for speeders was 38mph.

    Since February, the total numbers of vehicles passing through totalled to 2,110, with an average speed offenders per hour being 4.7.
