Today we associate Milton Keynes Shopping Centre with many things - great shops, places to eat and loads more.
But one thing we don't really associate it with any more is - pubs!
Back in the day however, Milton Keynes Shopping Centre was home to two amazing pubs which still hold a place in many people's memories.
1. The City Duck
The City Duck had a prime location right next to McDonalds near The Point.
Its totem sign was one of the most recognisable in the whole of Central Milton Keynes.
The City Duck was a favourite for people who worked in the centre, as well as being the perfect place for a pint after you had done a bit of shopping!
2. The Rose and Castle

Walk a bit further down in the City Centre and you would discover The Rose and Castle!
A hallmark of the shopping centre between 1979 and 2001, The Rose and Castle was situated right next to Milton Keynes Market.
Superb food and Tenants on tap - what more could you want from a City Centre pub?
