Three local women to run 84 miles along Hadrian's Wall for Milton Keynes-based mental health charity

Three local women, all completely new to running, will be taking on 84 miles along Hadrian's Wall for Mind BLMK.

Nicky, Leigh, and Anna are strong supporters of the local charity that provides support, advice and other services to those that need help with their mental health and wellbeing.

In August, over the course of four days, the three women will be running along the famous Roman landmark from Bowness-on-Solway in the West to Wallsend in the East.

They said: “We’re not runners. But after the year we’ve all had, we wanted a challenge that would kick us into gear and one that could shine a light on the wonderful work of Mind BLMK; an independent local charity that has supported so many of us with our mental health.”

Hayley Mattacks, Fundraising and Communications Manager at Mind BLMK, added: “We are truly honoured to be chosen by Nicky, Leigh, and Anna for their Hadrian’s Wall run this August.

"We know that this will be both a physical and mental challenge for each of the women and are we are grateful to each of them for all their incredible hard-work and effort supporting our work here at Mind BLMK. It is through support such as this, that we can continue providing our key services across Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes.”
