Over the next couple of weeks, The Parks Trust will be holding three Parkland Play events at different parks across Milton Keynes.
Parkland Play is an afternoon of free fun with lots of games and activities that the whole family can enjoy. Challenge yourself with The Parks Trust's Ranger’s litter game, play with giant garden games or have a go at one of the sporting activities such as cricket, football or tennis.
For younger children they have a play house or colouring in station. Plus, at the end of the session there will be Punch and Judy show or storytelling after which you’ll get to try the ranger trail that helps you to explore the park.
You can join in at Willen Lake North on Friday 21 August, parking available at Peace Pagoda carpark off V10 Brickhill Street, parking charges apply.
On Tuesday 25 August you can join at Monkston Park, in the Ouzel Valley, parking is available at the Water Gardens car park off Newport Road, with a short walk through the Ouzel Valley to the event area.
Finally, you can join in the fun with The Parks Trust on Friday 28 August at Ashland Lakes, parking is available in the car park on Newington Gate, Ashland, off V8 Marlborough Street.
Parkland Play events will run between 1pm and 3pm on each of the above days. You’ll need to book into a 20-minute slot, each of which have limited spaces to allow for social distancing and to comply with the current government guidelines surrounding Covid-19.
"In between each slot within the event we will clean the equipment used for everyone's safety," said The Parks Trust. "Hand sanitiser stations will be available, and we will ask everyone to use these before and after their session, but please bring your own if possible."
Although this is a free event booking is essential. Please ensure you have booked your free spaces for all adults and children attending. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
