Thames Valley Police warn Milton Keynes residents about a door-to-door boxing club scam

Thames Valley Police

Two men have been knocking on houses and requesting donations for a fake boxing club.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) have stated that it is not a genuine request.

The men have been spotted in various areas including Stantonbury, Wolverton, Neath Hill and Newport Pagnell continuously over the past year.

Residents are advised not to make donations or provide personal details.

People took to TVP Milton Keynes' Facebook page to warn others about the scam. A concerned resident said:

"They knocked on my door in Newport Pagnell before Christmas. They seemed polite enough and went away without arguing when I said no. They were knocking during school hours so I guessed something wasn't right."

Another person added: "They posted a 'Mr Block Paving' leaflet through my mums door yesterday and previously conned £5 out of my mum for their 'boxing'".

Residents are advised to report any incidents to TVP by calling 101.
