Thames Valley Police is joining police forces across the country by taking part in Operation Sceptre a national knife surrender and week of action to challenge and reduce the threat of knife crime.
The knife surrender will run between Tuesday 18 and Monday 24 September, during which members of the public will be able to safely dispose of any type of knife or bladed article.
The aim of the operation is to remove dangerous weapons from the street, reduce knife crime and raise awareness of the dangers and consequences of carrying a knife.
Officers will also be holding a number of activities during the week, which will include the use of knife detection arches and engagement with schools and retailers.
Knife surrender bins have been placed in the front counters of the following 16 police stations:
