Mind BLMK has been awarded £10,000 by Taylor Wimpey South Midlands after the house builder hosted its annual charity triathlon to raise funds.
The charity offers services to aid mental health and wellbeing for people in Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire, and Luton, with an aim to make sure that no-one has to face a mental health problem alone.
This year's triathlon with a twist saw members of Taylor Wimpey South Midlands compete in clay pigeon shooting, a round of golf and quad-biking, followed by a dinner and auction.
Hayley Mattacks, Fundraising Manager at Mind BLMK, said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to Taylor Wimpey South Midlands for their generous donation which will help tremendously to fund our services. One in four people will experience a mental health issue each year, with one in six people experiencing a common mental health problem (such as anxiety and depression) in any given week. Mental health is something we all have and here at Mind BLMK, we aim to ensure that everyone can get support when they need it.”
