Thousands of music fans descended on Campbell Park over the weekend to enjoy three fantastic events staged by the Bedford-based promoter, LPH Concerts & Events.
People from all over the county came out as the sun shone down on the park. Dancing crowds and smiling faces were the recipients of a weekend-long soundtrack of the world’s best-loved pop songs.
ABBA Symphonic
ABBA Symphonic was the highlight of Friday night. Star performers from the London West End production of Mamma Mia!, including Rob Fowler and Sharon Sexton, took to the stage to perform ABBA’s greatest hits together with a full rock band and the Heart of England Orchestra, arranged and conducted by the Grammy Award winning composer, Steve Sidwell. The Rock Choir were also a hit with crowds with audiences singing along in their masses to everything from Whitney Houston to Queen and Bastille.
Rag ‘n’ Bone Man
Internationally acclaimed artist Rag ‘n’ Bone Man went down a storm on Saturday, performing huge hits including ‘Human’, ‘Skin’ and ‘Giant’, with support from BBC Radio 1 favourite, Jade Bird, and Hull’s rising star, Charlotte Jane.

Paloma Faith
Closing out the weekend was the BRIT award-winning artist Paloma Faith who looked striking dressed in a custom-made leather ballgown. TikTok star Katie Kittermaster stepped in to perform an extended set than was previously billed as did Bedford’s fast rising star Joe Bygraves after the original support James Morrison could not perform due to illness.

Mark Harrison, promoter of LPH Concerts & Events said, “What a fantastic weekend it’s been. Each and every performance was outstanding – I literally couldn’t pick a favourite! As a promoter, it’s an absolute joy to watch crowds having such a good time at our shows. A huge thanks goes out to everyone across the site who made it happen, to the Campbell Park team for welcoming us here, and to everyone who bought a ticket and made this a memorable weekend. We’re already making plans for next year and cannot wait for our return to Milton Keynes.”
The LPH.live events continue throughout the summer. The next stop is at Bedford Park from Thursday 28th July – Sunday 31st July where four magical shows await including Simply Red, Café Mambo Ibiza In The Park, Paul Weller, and Bedford Park Proms Celebrating 25 Years.
