Dozens of areas in Milton Keynes were hit by heavy flooding this weekend following the Met Office's yellow weather warning.
The Met Office warned of "heavy and persistent rain" throughout most parts of the country bringing a risk of flooding and disruption.
And this exactly what the people of Milton Keynes experienced with houses, underpasses and lakes being badly affected.
People took to social media to warn others of the water levels on the Brook in Broughton, and also Teardrop Lakes in Loughton Valley Country Park where one person said she could not see the metal barrier that usually edges the lake.
One underpass under the V2 from Tattenhoe to Emerson Valley was "unpassable" due to mass flooding, with the nearby brook also bursting its bank.
Milton Keynes Council was also called out to properties in the area after residents shared concern of a "red flood warning" for houses in Willen and Middleton. The Highways Team placed sandbags at properties where they were needed and reminded residents to be cautious if out driving.
It seems that Storm Alex has now passed with the weather expected to be calmer this week. Light rain is expected for Monday and Tuesday, but there has been no weather warning issued.
